Please read these terms carefully before renting a costume from Veshbhusha (Utsav Dresswala). By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of costumes, accessories, and related services provided by Veshbhusha (also operating as Utsav Dresswala), with branches at Varachha and Yogichowk, Surat, Gujarat, India.
By renting a costume or using any of our services โ whether in-store, through WhatsApp, or via our website โ you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you (the Customer) and Veshbhusha.
Section 1: Costume Rental Agreement
Rental Period
The rental period begins on the agreed pick-up or delivery date and ends on the agreed return date. Any extension of the rental period must be communicated and approved in advance. Extensions are subject to availability and additional rental charges.
Eligibility
To rent from Veshbhusha, the customer must be 18 years of age or older. Rentals on behalf of minors must be arranged by a parent or legal guardian who accepts full responsibility for the costume.
Reservation & Availability
Costume availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required advance payment or security deposit. Veshbhusha reserves the right to offer an alternative costume of similar type and value if the reserved item is unavailable.
Identification
A valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID) must be presented at the time of collection. The details will be recorded for our booking records.
Section 2: Rental Charges & Payments
Rental Fees
Rental fees are as quoted at the time of booking and are subject to change based on the rental period, costume type, and any applicable seasonal pricing. All prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is mandatory for all costume rentals. The deposit amount is determined by the type and value of the costume rented. The deposit is returned in full upon the timely return of the costume in its original condition.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept cash, UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), and bank transfers. All payments must be made in Indian Rupees (INR). A receipt will be issued for all transactions.
Late Return Charges
Costumes returned after the agreed return time or date will attract a late fee equivalent to 50% of the original daily rental rate for each additional day or part thereof the costume is retained.
Section 3: Costume Care & Hygiene
Condition at Handover
All Veshbhusha costumes are professionally dry-cleaned and sanitised before every rental. The customer must inspect the costume at the time of collection and report any pre-existing damage before leaving the premises.
Customer Responsibility
The customer is responsible for maintaining the costume in good condition throughout the rental period. Costumes must not be washed, ironed, altered, or repaired by the customer without prior written consent from Veshbhusha.
Prohibited Activities
Costumes must not be used in activities that may cause undue wear or damage, including but not limited to outdoor sports, water activities, or events involving fire, chemicals, or paint. Sub-renting or lending the costume to a third party is strictly prohibited.
Section 4: Damage, Loss & Liability
Damage Assessment
Upon return, Veshbhusha staff will assess the costume for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. If damage is found, the cost of repair or replacement will be deducted from the security deposit. Any costs exceeding the deposit will be the customer's liability.
Lost or Stolen Costumes
In the event of loss or theft of a rented costume, the customer is liable for the full replacement cost of the costume. A police report must be provided in case of theft. The security deposit will be applied towards the replacement cost.
Stains & Fabric Damage
Stains from food, beverages, make-up, or other substances that cannot be removed by professional dry-cleaning, or any tears, burns, or permanent damage to the costume fabric or accessories, will be charged at the full replacement cost.
Limitation of Liability
Veshbhusha's liability is limited solely to the rental services provided. We are not liable for any consequential, indirect, or special damages arising from the use of our costumes, including any injury caused by accessories or costume components.
Section 5: Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation by Customer
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the rental start date are eligible for a full refund of any advance payment, minus a processing fee of โน100. Cancellations within 48 hours of the rental start date are non-refundable.
Cancellation by Veshbhusha
In the rare event that Veshbhusha is unable to fulfil a confirmed booking due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of the advance payment and security deposit will be issued. We will make every effort to offer an equivalent alternative.
No-Show Policy
If a customer fails to collect the costume on the agreed date without prior notice, the booking may be cancelled and the advance payment forfeited. The security deposit (if paid) will be refunded within 5 business days.
Refund Processing
Security deposit refunds are processed within 1โ3 business days of the costume's successful return and inspection. Refunds are made via the same payment method as the original transaction.
Section 6: Operational Policies
Store Hours
Both Veshbhusha branches are open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Collections and returns must be made within store hours. After-hours handovers are not permitted unless specifically arranged in advance.
Booking Channels
Bookings can be made in-store, via WhatsApp, or through our website. Online bookings are subject to confirmation and availability. Veshbhusha reserves the right to reject any booking without providing a reason.
Group Bookings
For school functions, events, or bulk bookings of 10 or more costumes, separate group booking terms apply. Please contact us directly for group booking arrangements, pricing, and deposit requirements.
Section 7: Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Surat, Gujarat.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through direct communication. If resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, the matter may be referred to a mutually agreed arbitrator in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
Amendments
Veshbhusha reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically.
Important Notice
Veshbhusha reserves the right to refuse service to any customer who has previously damaged, lost, or failed to return a rented costume, or who has outstanding payments. We are committed to providing a fair and transparent service to all our customers.
